I found a different driver for the Asmedia controller. The driver that comes with the final release is very buggy. The following link goes to driver 1.16.26.1, which has a release date of 6/3/2015, which is earlier than the 7/9/2015 driver that comes with windows, and seems to have a different numbering scheme than the 10.0.10240 that was released with the 10 final, but at least it works.
